Photographs from a workshop conducted in the village of Gairsain, Uttarakhand, northern India. The project was done in co-operation with Juha Liede and Plan India and location was one of Plan's model schools and was selected based on a recommendation by Plan India.

The workshop lasted for a week and gave the children basic skills in photography. The children were free to express themselves as they saw fit and and were not pushed in any particular creative direction.

The cameras that were used by the children in the workshop were left to the school so that the children could continue making images. The cameras were received as donations from private people in Finland.

Prior to the workshop, none of the children had photographed before.

These are some of the images produced in those workshops.
